Definition of Girl Scout Pathway Girl Scout pathways are nationally consistent yet flexible ways that girls and adults participate and represent a national membership strategy for recruiting and retaining more members. Girl Scout pathways are how we deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) to all girls and how we match volunteers to girl preferences for participation—it is our delivery system and our internal way of organizing our offerings Girl Scout pathways are holistic, with each being a flexible option for participation that has organization-wide implications, nationally and locally. Girls will have a reason to join and stay when offered high quality, flexible pathway options that match interest and availability. The pathways framework leverages core strengths (camp, troop, events, travel, and global networks), builds upon new innovative ideas (virtual and series pathways) based on girl needs and interests, and allows for new opportunities to leverage community partners and resources.
